Romans 10:17

The Message

14-17 But how can people call for help if they don’t know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven’t heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That’s why Scripture exclaims,

A sight to take your breath away!
Grand processions of people
    telling all the good things of God!

But not everybody is ready for this, ready to see and hear and act. Isaiah asked what we all ask at one time or another: “Does anyone care, God? Is anyone listening and believing a word of it?” The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ’s Word is preached, there’s nothing to listen to.

A Poem…Love for my Father in Heaven

What is Love

Love for a specific person necessarily implies love for humanity. I cannot love this person if I do not love humankind as a whole—a citizen of the world, a guest in my heart.

To love is to trust others;
To love is to share what we have with others;
To love is to have the ability to put oneself in another’s place;
To love is to know how to accept others just as they are;
To love is to believe that all people are human;
To love is to understand the mistakes of others;
To love is to know how to temper our smiles;
To love is to give our time to a noble cause;
To love is to listen to others without rushing;
To love is to know when to remain silent;
To love is to know how to keep a secret;
To love is to give up a seat;
To love is to help lift someone’s low spirits;
To love is to reply to a letter;
To love is to pray for others;
To love is to give, receive, and help—
To share, to suggest, to hope…

17 Así que la fe es por el oír, y el oír, por la palabra de Dios.

Que es Amar 

El amor hacia una persona concreta implica necesariamente un amor hacia la humanidad. No puedo amar a esta persona si no amo al hombre como tal, ciudadano del mundo, huésped de mi corazón.

Amar es confiar en los otros; 

Amar es compartir lo nuestro con los demás 

Amar es tener la capacidad de ponerse en el lugar del otro; 

Amar es saber aceptar a los demás tal como son;

Amar es creer que todos los hombres son humanos

Amar es comprender los errores  de los demás;

Amar es saber regular sonrisas;

Amar es dar nuestro tiempo a una causa noble; 

Amar es escuchar sin prisa a los demás; 

Amar es saber callar a tiempo; 

Amar es saber guardar un secreto; 

Amar es ceder un puesto; 

Amar es ayudar a levantar el ánimo decaído. 

Amar es contestar una carta; 

Amar es orar por los demás

Amar es dar, recibir y ayudar, 

Compartir, sugerir, esperar…
