IT ALL START WITH LOVE

In Unity: God’s Loving Care Pt 1

It is so beautiful the work of God, leaving so many testimonies. Busy weeks of caring is sharing and sharing is caring.it will be in my next writing

Father Almighty has many ways to speak to each one of us. Love just love from excerpts that Father placed from the books of A.W. Tozer

There is something more serious than coldness of heart, something that may be back of that coldness of heart, something that may be back of the coldness and be the cause of its existence. What is it? What but the presence of a veil in our hearts? A veil not taken away as the first veil was, but which remains there still shutting out the light and hiding the face of God from us. It is the veil of our fleshly fallen nature living on, unjudged within us, uncrucufied and unrepudiated. It is the close-woven veil of the self life which we gave never truly acknowledged, of which we have been secretly ashamed, and which for these reasons e have never brought to the judgement of the cross> it is not too mysterious , this opaque veil, nor is is it hard to identify. We have but to look in our own hearts and e shall see it there, sewn and patched and repaired, it may be, but there nevertheless less to our lives and Effective Block to our spiritual progress.(48removing veil)

All the foregoing presupposes true repentance and a full committal of the life to God. It is hardly necessary to mention this, for only persons who have made such commital will have read this far. When the habit of inwardly gazing Godward becomes fixed within us, we shall be ushered into a new level of spiritual life more in keeping with promises of God and the mood of the New Testament. The Truine of God will be our dwelling place even while our feet walk in the low road of simple duty  here among men. e will have found life súmmum bonus indeed. “There is a source of all delight that can be desired , not only  can nought better be thought out by men and angel, but nought better can exist in mode of being!. For it is the absolute maximum of every rational desire, than which is greater cannot be. (pg 88 gaze of the soul)

In determining relationships we must begin somewhere. There must be somewhere a fixed center against which everything else is measured, where the law of relativity does not enter and we can say “IS” and makes no allowances. Such a center is God. When God would make His Name known to mankind He could find no better word than “I AM” When He speaks in first person He says,I Am when we speak to HIM, when we speak of Him we say, “He is” when we speak to Him we say, “Though Art”, Everyone and everything else measures from that fixed point. Iam that I am,”says God “I change not”

“The moment we make up our minds that we are going on with this determination to exalt God over all, we step out of the world’s parade. We shall find ourselves out of adjustment to the ways of the world, and increasingly so, as we make progress in the holy way. We shall acquire a new viewpoint; a new and different psychology will be formed within us; a new power will begin to surprise us by its upsurgings and its outgoings. Our break with the world will be the direct outcome of our changed relationship to God. For the world of fallen men does not honor God. Millions call themselves by His name, it is true, and pay some token respect to Him, but a simple test will show how little He is really honored among them. Let the average man be put to the proof on the question of who is above, and his true position will be exposed. Let him be forced into making a choice between God and money, between God and men, between God and personal ambition, God and self, God and human love, and God will take second place every time. Those other things will be exalted above. However the man may protest, the proof is in the choices he makes day after day throughout his life.”― A.W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God

“In speaking thus I have one fear; it is that I may convince the mind before God can win the heart. For this God-above-all position is one not easy to take. The mind may approve it while not having the consent of the will to put it into effect. While the imagination races ahead to honor God, the will may lag behind and the man never guess how divided his heart is. The whole man must make the decision before the heart can know any real satisfaction. God wants us all, and He will not rest till He gets us all. No part of the man will do.”

“Any tiny work that God has ever done through me and through my ministry for him dates back to that hour when I was filled with the Spirit. That is why I plead for the spiritual life of the body of Christ and the eternal ministries of the eternal Spirit through Gods children, His instruments”

Deep within the heart of every person is an insatiable longing to know this purpose of life, which I contend, is indication of the residue of memory prior to the Fall of the Garden Eden. Men and women strive to know the “why”of everything. They express a legitimate concern and pose an an iportant question  demanding a satisfactory answer. The problem is, most people get the wrong answer to their inquiry.

But there is a good and legitimate answer to this query summed up in the following scripture: “My heart is inviting a good matter ; I speak things …touching king…So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty, for he is thy Lord and worship thou HIM” (Psalm 45:1-11)

The mightiest disaster ever known in the world was the soul of man, more like God than anything, and more fitted to God’s sweet music than all other creatures, with the light gone from his heart, stumbling through a dark world to find himself a grave. From God’s point of view, man needed redemption. What is the purpose of redemption? Redemption is to restore us back to God again; to restring that harp, to purge it, cleanse it and refurbish it by the grace of God and the blood of the Lamb. (45 searchingman lost identity)Pg 83 seekers after truth

On the surface, these “seekers after truth” seem to be genuine in their belief or at least heading in the right direction. However, in this day of relativism, truth means different things to different people. What is truth to one person may not necessarily be true to another. And what was true yesterday may not be true today. The only thing these “seekers after truth” accomplish is to keep people from seeking the absolute Truth, which is Jesus Christ, “the same yesterday, and today and forever(Heb 13:8)

How big God is and how Comprehensive is the work of Christ! How imperative is repentance and regeneration in the Holy Spirit! By rejecting the Holy Spirit, we put our eyes and blunder in the darkness, sightless and lost. Let us not be guilty of that in this day of open Bibles and plenty of truth.

The meekness and majesty of Jesus. You do not find meekness and majesty united very much. The meekness was his humanity and majesty united very much. The meekness was His humanity, and the majesty was his deity. He was a human being like any other human being, but He was God, and His majesty He stood before Herod and before Pilate. And when He comes down from the sky, it will be in His majesty, the majesty of God ; and yet it will be the majesty of the man who is good.

The dark night of the soul separates those who genuinely interested in following Christ from those who just have curiosity about the “deep things of God”. We surely want God to do His work in our lives ,but we want the lights on. We want God to do in our hearts and lives that which will bring Him honoring Glory, but we want to know and understand every step that He takes in our lives.

Darkness speaks of not knowing. We want God to do, but he want Him to do what He does within the scope of our comprehension. The dark night of the soul, however, is the work of the Holy Spirit that exceeds the ability of any man or woman to understand. When we come through the dark night of the soul, we do not know what has really happened to us , but we do know who has made it happen.

As we begin to focus upon God, the things of the Spirit will take shape before our inner eyes. Obedience to the word of Christ will bring inward revelation of the Godhead (john 14:21-23). It will give acute perception, enabling us to see God as is promised to the pure in heart. A new God consciousness will seize upon  and we shall begin to taste and hear and inwardly feel the God who is our life and our all. There will be a constant shining of the light that lighters every man that cometh into the worship. More and more, as our faculties grow sharper and more sure, God will become to us the great All, and His presence the glory and wonder of our lives. (Pg 58 The Pursuit of God )

The mystery that envelopes my heart, and I bow down in reverence and submission. Simply put, the mystery is that God and man are united in one person, not two persons. All That is God and all that is man are fused eternally , inexplicably, and inseparably in the man, Jesus Christ. When we kneel before the man, Christ Jesus, we are in fact kneeling before God.

These simple things will go a long way in maintaining a vibrant life of worship and praise. If what we believe does not make God more real to us, if it does not make us more Christ like in every aspect of our life , of what value is it?The maintaining of our worship is a responsibility we cannot shirk. It must be paramount in our daily life. The effect of all this is seen in, “but we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”(2 Cor 3:18).

May God grant us a desire for God that supersedes all other desires.

The man who has God for his treasure has all things in One. Many ordinary treasures may be denied Him, or if He is allowed to have them, the enjoyment of them will be so tempered that they will never be necessary to his happiness. Or if he must see them go, one after one, he will scarcely feel a sense of loss, for having the Source of things he has in One all satisfaction, all pleasure, all delight. Whatever He may lose he has actually lost nothing, for he now has it all in One , and he has it purely, legitimately and forever(pg 28 The Pursuit of God)
