Unspeakable Joy — The Joy That Transcends Words

The Everlasting Radiance of Faith, Divine Renewal, and the Ambassadors of God’s Kingdom

I. Ways That God Speaks — A Personal Reflection

Today, as I turned the pages of the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible, I came upon a subject that captured my attention: The Ways That God Speaks.

How extraordinary it is to consider the many ways our Heavenly Father communicates with His children—through Scripture, wisdom, circumstances, prayer, the encouragement of others, and the quiet movements of the heart.

His guidance invites us to cultivate leadership, not merely as a position of authority, but as the ability to inspire, encourage, guide, and empower others toward a shared purpose through wisdom, integrity, responsibility, and service.

Today was a different kind of day.

I felt a gentle prompting to attend St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church with my aunt, where Father Albert Cutié was celebrating the Spanish-language service.

Although I had planned to follow the services at Passion City Church and Lakewood Church, something drew me toward this particular gathering.

Perhaps there was something I needed to hear.

The message centered on the Beatitudes.

As Father Albert reflected upon each blessing, I found myself deeply moved. A tear came to my eye as I listened to the words of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Particularly these teachings:

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.

Blessed are the merciful.

Blessed are the pure in heart.

Blessed are the peacemakers.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness.

Matthew 5:6–12

And then came the invitation to rejoice even when facing persecution, misunderstanding, and injustice.

How difficult these words can be to embrace.

How challenging it is to rejoice when we are misunderstood, falsely accused, or confronted by circumstances beyond our understanding.

Yet perhaps this is where one of the greatest mysteries of faith begins.

For our Heavenly Father does not promise that every season will be free from hardship. Rather, He invites us to discover a joy that remains even when circumstances change.

A joy that transcends words.

Unspeakable joy.

II. Unspeakable Joy — The Joy That Transcends Words

Unspeakable joy is a spiritual gladness so profound, pure, and extraordinary that human language cannot fully express its depth.

It is not merely happiness arising from favorable circumstances.

It is the quiet triumph of faith over fear, the peaceful assurance of God’s presence, and the confidence that His everlasting love continues to guide us beyond what the natural eye can see.

As Scripture reminds us:

“Ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.”

— 1 Peter 1:8, KJV

What a remarkable expression of faith.

To rejoice without having seen.

To believe without possessing every answer.

To trust even when the road ahead remains uncertain.

The invisible gifts of our Heavenly Father illuminate our spirits, strengthen our faith, and renew our hope.

These gifts are not always measured by what we possess or accomplish. Sometimes they are revealed through patience, mercy, forgiveness, wisdom, and the courage to continue walking in righteousness.

Unspeakable joy is not the absence of suffering.

It is the presence of hope within suffering.

It is the gentle radiance of God’s love cultivating spiritual growth, awakening wisdom, and guiding our hearts toward compassion and reconciliation.

Just as the faithful spiritual watchman awaits the dawn, the soul that trusts in the Almighty discovers that darkness does not extinguish the promise of light.

For the Kingdom of God flourishes not only through what our eyes can perceive, but also through the unseen works of grace, mercy, and divine renewal.

III. The Beauty of Change and Our Heavenly Father’s Spacious Garden

Change is often a blessing whose beauty we cannot immediately recognize.

Throughout our journey, we may not understand how the many colors our Heavenly Father has provided are gradually coming together upon the canvas of our lives.

Some colors represent joy; others, perseverance.

Some reveal moments of peace, while others reflect the lessons learned through uncertainty.

Yet every season offers an opportunity for spiritual growth, renewed understanding, and a deeper appreciation of God’s divine purpose.

How intriguing it is that we pray for new beginnings while sometimes holding so tightly to what is familiar.

We ask for opportunities, yet hesitate when those opportunities require courage.

We seek freedom, yet sometimes resist the responsibilities that accompany it.

We pray for truth, yet may struggle when truth challenges our understanding.

Nevertheless, our Heavenly Father, in His infinite mercy, has entrusted us with a spacious garden.

A garden representing liberty, responsibility, opportunity, and time.

Within this garden, we are invited to cultivate wisdom, plant seeds of kindness, nurture righteousness, and allow our faith to flourish.

Its spaciousness reminds us of God’s generosity and the opportunities entrusted to humanity.

Yet the time given to us is precious.

Every season carries its responsibilities, and every opportunity invites us to act with discernment.

We may not always recognize when one chapter is ending and another is beginning.

But we can trust that what appears impossible to human understanding remains possible through God.

There is work to be done.

Love to be cultivated.

Truth to be honored.

Justice to be upheld.

And lives to be encouraged.

IV. The Spiritual Watchman and the Foundations of Our Nations

There are seasons when restoration requires more than the desire for change.

It requires wisdom, structure, accountability, courage, and a renewed commitment to the foundations upon which communities and nations are built.

A spiritual watchman understands that change is not always a disturbance. Today, that spiritual watch has been assigned for such a time of renewal, a time to unite.

Sometimes it is the beginning of restoration.

Yet discernment remains essential.

Not every change represents progress, and not every familiar tradition should be abandoned.

We are called to examine what is taking place with wisdom, humility, and a sincere commitment to righteousness.

The foundations of a nation are strengthened not merely by its institutions or the authority of its leaders, but also by the character, responsibility, and moral convictions of its people.

Leadership must be accompanied by service.

Authority must be guided by justice.

Freedom must be exercised with responsibility.

And the pursuit of truth must never become separated from mercy.

There may be moments when the brightness of a new beginning feels overwhelming, when uncertainty creates fear, or when disappointment tempts the heart toward bitterness.

Yet these are precisely the moments when we are called to strengthen the bonds of unity.

To stand beside one another.

To encourage a brother or sister.

To participate rather than remain indifferent.

For the gifts entrusted to humanity are not given merely to be admired.

They are given to be cultivated, developed, and shared.

An idea may become an opportunity.

An opportunity may become an act of service.

And an act of service, rooted in righteousness and love, may become a blessing extending far beyond what we can presently imagine.

Scripture reminds us that nations experience conflict, uncertainty, and hardship (Luke 21:10–11).

Yet even amid such circumstances, we are called to remain faithful, discerning, and hopeful.

During the church service, a song touched my heart.

Its message spoke of humanity walking together on a spiritual journey toward an eternal home, where suffering and sorrow no longer prevail.

It also expressed the beautiful desire to become like clay in the Potter’s hands, allowing God to renew and shape our lives according to His purpose.

What a meaningful reminder.

We are not called merely to observe the journey.

We are called to walk faithfully within it.

And as we walk, may we remember that our greatest strength is not found in division, superiority, or the pursuit of worldly recognition.

It is found in the righteousness, compassion, humility, and love that unite us.

V. The Ambassadors of God’s Kingdom

We often associate the title ambassador with individuals appointed to represent nations, governments, and territories.

Yet there is a deeper spiritual meaning to this responsibility.

Every living soul has been entrusted with a measure of time, a place within creation, and an opportunity to influence the world through truth, compassion, courage, and love.

As the Apostle Paul teaches:

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ.”

— 2 Corinthians 5:20, KJV

What an extraordinary responsibility.

To become an ambassador of reconciliation.

A representative of righteousness.

A faithful witness of God’s everlasting goodness.

Our spiritual responsibility is not measured solely by worldly titles or positions of authority.

It is reflected in the integrity of our actions, the sincerity of our intentions, and the love we extend to others.

We are called to speak with wisdom, defend what is just, support those in need, and recognize the dignity of every human being.

Leadership, therefore, becomes an expression of service rather than superiority.

It requires the courage to listen before speaking, the humility to learn before judging, and the wisdom to recognize that not everything of value is immediately visible.

Sometimes we measure progress only by what our eyes can see.

Yet the unseen work of faith, character, and spiritual renewal may be preparing foundations for blessings not yet revealed.

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus presents the image of standing at the door and knocking.

What a beautiful invitation to listen, recognize His presence, and open our hearts.

And in Isaiah 43:19, we are reminded of God’s promise to bring forth something new.

These teachings invite us to remain attentive to His guidance.

To recognize opportunities for renewal.

To cultivate the gifts entrusted to us.

And to remember that belonging to Christ calls us to live according to His teachings.

For spiritual radiance becomes visible through the goodness we practice, the mercy we extend, and the truth we honor.

VI. The Radiance of Unspeakable Joy

Psalm 33 reminds us that the strength of nations and individuals does not ultimately rest upon armies, worldly power, or human achievement.

Our hope is found in the Lord.

His unfailing love sustains those who trust in Him.

His wisdom exceeds our understanding.

And His righteousness remains a foundation upon which we may build our lives.

The faithful spiritual watchman understands that even when the path ahead remains uncertain, faith invites us to remain attentive, discerning, and hopeful.

There are moments when the world appears burdened by oppression, cruelty, hatred, revenge, and injustice.

Moments when suffering challenges our confidence and uncertainty tests our patience.

Yet the teachings of our Heavenly Father continually call us toward mercy, uprightness, reconciliation, and peace.

We are reminded to seek wisdom and understanding.

To pray with sincerity.

To practice kindness within our families and communities.

To recognize the needs of others.

And to remember that justice must be pursued with truth, compassion, and humility.

Sometimes what initially appears to be a setback may become an opportunity for renewed understanding.

Sometimes a difficult season teaches us to distinguish between what is temporary and what is everlasting.

And sometimes the greatest act of faith is to remain steadfast in goodness when the world encourages indifference.

Unspeakable joy is the courage to embrace divine renewal.

The freedom to grow.

The humility to learn.

The willingness to forgive.

And the determination to become an instrument of peace.

For the most extraordinary ambassador of the future is not necessarily someone holding a position of great authority.

It may be you.

You, with the gifts entrusted to your care.

You, with the opportunity to cultivate goodness within your surroundings.

You, with the freedom to choose kindness over indifference, understanding over judgment, and reconciliation over division.

You, whose life can become a living testimony of faith, hope, and everlasting love.

VII. A Reflection — The Future We Are Called to Cultivate

May we embrace the changes that cultivate wisdom, recognize the blessings hidden within life’s uncertainties, and understand that every color our Heavenly Father places upon the canvas of our lives contributes to a greater and more beautiful picture.

May we never become so fearful of change, especially when it brings opportunities for goodness, renewal, and restoration, that we fail to recognize the guidance of our Heavenly Father.

May those entrusted with leadership and the responsibility of watching over our nations exercise wisdom, integrity, humility, and righteousness.

And may we, as individuals and communities, remain discerning, faithful, and open to God’s divine purpose.

Let us never overlook the beauty of the spacious garden entrusted to our care.

For within that garden, faith takes root, hope blossoms, righteousness bears fruit, and love becomes the everlasting foundation upon which God’s Kingdom flourishes.

The future is not merely something we await; it is something we are called to help shape through the choices we make, the truth we honor, the justice we uphold, and the love we share.

And perhaps the greatest revelation is this:

The most extraordinary ambassador of the future may be you.

Not because you possess all the answers, but because you have been entrusted with the opportunity to become a living reflection of God’s light.

Let your faith illuminate the path.

Let your courage embrace divine renewal.

And let your unspeakable joy become a radiant testimony of our Heavenly Father’s everlasting love.

VIII. Be the Glowing Light — A Closing Prayer

Let Your Truth Shine Forth

My Lord, Almighty Heavenly Father,

Bring into the light all that remains hidden in darkness, between Heaven and Earth.

Unbind all that has been bound, release all who have been oppressed, and reveal all that needs to be known, so that this world may shine in the radiance of Your truth, justice, and mercy.

May Your divine light illuminate every heart, Your wisdom guide the nations, and Your everlasting love restore all that has been broken.

Let no darkness prevail over Your light, no injustice over Your truth, and no fear over the hope that arises from Your divine presence.

May the pathways of reconciliation be opened, may righteousness flourish, and may peace be renewed among all the peoples of the Earth.

For where Your Spirit dwells, there is freedom; where Your truth shines, there is light; and where Your love flourishes, there is hope, restoration, and divine renewal.

May we become faithful stewards of the gifts You have entrusted to us, cultivating goodness, protecting what is just, and sharing Your everlasting love with one another.

May our hearts remain humble, our faith steadfast, and our lives a reflection of Your divine grace.

In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
